Inspiration...

This was the inspiration piece I chose for last week's Inspiration and Themes Challenge at In Love With Stamping:

I love the fresh and clean lines and colours of this bed linen from John Lewis - no wonder my eye was drawn to it - it's my favourite mix of aqua, neutrals and yellow.... in fact it's a pretty good match for the colours I chose for my blog design isn't it!

Here is the card I made based on the picture - the colours I chose were Sahara Sand, Whisper White, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa and Sage Shadow.

I used my brand spankin new Swiss Cheese fiskars punch for the bottom Close to Cocoa layer - fun isn't it! The Sage Shadow layer was stamped with the same colour ink with the Sanded background stamp and used Stampin Up markers to colour the sentiment. I really like this card (am I allowed to say that lol!)

Recipe: (Stampin Up unless stated)
Stamps - Occasional Greetings/Sanded backgrounder
Ink - Sage Shadow/Markers - Close to Cocoa, Sage Shadow, So Saffron

Card - Whisper White/Sahara Sand/Close to Cocoa/Sage Shadow

Paper - So Saffron DSP
Other - Scallop border punch/Swiss Cheese border punch (Fiskars)/Labels Four dies (Spellbinder)/buttons (Papertrey Ink)/linen thread/Kraft ribbon

For any Papertrey fans - we've set a new challenge over on A Passion for Papertrey today, to make a card with at least two flowers on it, here's my sample:

Thanks for visiting and have a great week, see you soon I hope!

Yes, you are most defnitely allowed to say you like your card! A fab interpretation of the pic! That punch is adorable - I love the Swiss Cheese Effect! I can see that punch being put to good use on some Summer Sunrise cardstock...
Consider your PTI splurge as a reward for making fab cards LOL!
Hugs,
Aimes

This is really something else Kate. The colour combination is out of this world, combined with the SS graph paper and the funky punch it has to be one of my favourites of yours, although I say that quite often when it comes to your cards x

Love the cards Kate, never seen that Fiskars Swiss Cheese punch before, but it's cute - you'll have to team it up with a Penny Black mice stamped image soon :)

Hope you're having a good week.

The Swiss cheese punch is a great fun element and that colour scheme for some reason makes me think of ice cream. Not had any for ages - may have to treat myself this weekend.

The flower card is so sweet and you're starting to get me hooked on Papertrey - I love the templates.
