Hats off to the grad

I can't believe it's mid June already! For those in school the end of the academic year is almost at an end, all those horrible exams almost over and a long (and hopefully hot!) summer ahead. Do you remember the year you left school? The tears of leaving friends you'd spent years together with, the excitement and slight apprehension about the next step of life's journey, and the feeling that the world truly is your oyster.

This post is dedicated to a very special young lady in California who last week graduated from High School and who has the most fabulous future ahead of her. A special day for a special lady deserved a special card don't you think?!

Front of card:

...the accordian card opened out:

I used Kim Hughes' Congrats to the Grad set and Junior Varsity papers - I could have checked to find out what Molly's High School colours are but wanted it to be a surprise so went with these instead.

First half of card:

I printed a picture of Molly and also printed a personal message too.

Second half of card:

Congratulations Molly, sending you all our love from across the pond! I hope you have a fabulous summer and are excited about your future.... I am!!!

And to everyone else have a fabulous weekend... I can't wait til Monday, can you guess why??!!!

Kate xx

Recipe:

Stamps - Congrats to the Grad (Kim Hughes)
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Card/Paper - Whisper White/Rose Red/Bashful Blue/So Saffron/Old Olive/Junior Varsity Papers

Now I'm well and truly hyped up about Monday and this weekend (think you know why!) and if you're like me you're excited for Monday as it's the start of... WIMBLEDON!!!!! Slightly gutted that Nadal is injured but then I guess it's more of a chance for Murray! I've already got the Pimms, Strawberries and Cream ready LOL!

Kate the card is perfect, and I thought you MUST have looked at the school colors - red, black and white - because the front of the card is all about those colors! Thanks so much for this very thoughtful gift, Molly LOVES it! I posted grad/prom photos so you can see how the grad is looking :)
