Hooray for the sun coming back! I had a lovely day by the sea yesterday with my family - we were celebrating my dad's birthday and went down to Dorset for a fabulous pub lunch and afternoon on the beach. (Hardly an afternoon in my case - I'm not a lying on the beach type, I get bored far too quickly, so I went for a lovely walk along the (rather hilly!) coast path)
I think I'm a curse on English sport - my dad (in fact my whole family) is a big cricket fan so I made a bought him some (more!) cricket books, and made him this card:
Recipe: Stamps - Cricket Man (Jolly Nation)
Ink - Memento Card - Night of Navy (SU)/Stamper's Select White (PTI)
Paper - Bitty Box Collection (PTI)
Other - Copic Sketch markers/sewing machine
(A big thank you to Jules for getting me out of a pickle when I couldn't get hold of this stamp and sending me the image)
..but then England went on to have the worst day's cricket against Australia imaginable, sob!!!
His birthday cupcakes may have cheered him up a bit though:
The icing was actually meant to be Navy and Red to match the card and cupcake toppers (which spell out Happy Birthday!) but didn't quite turn out like that lol!
Recipe for toppers:
Stamps - Star Prints/Fresh Alphabet (PTI)
Ink - Real Red/Night of Navy (SU)
Other - Star punch/ 3/4 inch circle punch (SU)
Thanks for stopping by!

A perfect card for a cricket lover - sorry they are doing so badly!! Those cupcakes should cheer everyone up though, they look delicious xx
I love this card and the cake is a sure sweetner after a terrible day's cricket against the Aussies! Just scrummy!
