Purple birthday

In keeping with being a big sports fan I'm trying to watch the Superbowl from the US, but not too sure I really understand many of the rules!!

Here's a birthday card I made for a friend a few days ago - she ADORES purple which I always find challenging.... it just never really done much for me! But as always it's good to work outside of our comfort zone as in the end I ended up really liking this card - it's all Papertrey Ink including those lovely new pastel papers. I took this in very bad light - it's much more purple IRL!

Recipe: (All Papertrey Ink)

Stamps - Everyday Button Bits
Ink - Spring Moss
Card - Plum Pudding/Stamper's Select White
Paper - Pretty Pastels
Other - Plum Pudding and Lavender Moon buttons/Plum Pudding/Circle Nestabilities

I might even start using purple a bit more..... maybe!!

Hugs, Kate xx

Kate - this is fabulous - I love the way you used the buttons. Just wonderful.

Gorgeous - I just can't get enough of these button bits stamps. I actually like purple but don't use it all that often. This looks great with those delish papers.

Very pretty, Kate! I know what you mean about purple, not exactly my favourite either, but I suppose I should try and use it more, too :)

Mmmmm...purple isn't my kinda colour either and I do tend to shy away from using it but you've made it look gorgeous here, hun! Maybe I'll try sitting with purple card on my desk to start and build up to applying adhesive and then maybe sticking it on my card LOL!
We MUST catch up soon, it's been AGES!
