ambitions

How often do you have crafting ambitions that never come to fruition? For me it happens regularly - big ideas for an upcoming celebration that, short of time standing still for a few hours  days, realistically just aren't going to happen.

I'm working on not beating myself up about these times, and also at not being just slightly envious of those super-women bloggers who, it seems almost daily, create stunning cards, cakes, and home decor for every possible event going.  Did I mention that they have jobs, children and still manage to do this? Maybe they just never sleep.

In the past month I have not once but twice (*gasp*) resorted to buying cards because I haven't got round to making a card. Even a good friend's 40th birthday recently. I somehow felt I'd failed her... I know I'm not the only one!

So here are two cards that are the result of a 'failed' crafting ambition - a magazine call for sewing inspired cards that I never quite got around to entering...

Stamps: Lawn Fawn

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It's like you're reading my mind lol! I've accepted that I can't do it all and not to compare myself (*most of the time lol*).

Saying all that you are so talented at 100 more things than me, you're such a good friend, you cook, you sing and you craft fabulously! what was I saying about not comparing LOL!

Two stunning cards Kate.

I have just bought a birthday card (she says very sheepishly!) for a friend's birthday...and I know for a fact she will tell me off, but somedays the creative juices just don't flow!!

Beautiful card ! And those mothers that can do everything? They're on drugs. Yup. That and they sedate their kids. Seriously. How else do they keep their houses tidy while they do everything else ???

(at least, that's what I tell myself on those dark comparing moments ;P )

Kate, I can totally relate! I disappoint myself all the time because I didn't do what I wanted to do! I'm trying to focus on the things I get done instead of what I don't get done - but it's a struggle. I love your cards - nice work!

Simple. They're not human. ;D
Well that's the only conclusion I can come to anyways!
That being said, you know that I love what you create and often wonder how YOU have the time! Gorgeous cards - you make me very tempted to purchase some Lawn Fawn stamps....!
Hugs!
