First time visitor to your blog. And as I was scrolling through I saw this post. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this.
As a former government employee, I was in a building in northern Virginia that I had to evacuate that day. I will never forget - ever. I am also the wife of a retired naval officer and the mother of a former Marine (our daughter). She was actually born in England in 1973. We were stationed in northern Scotland (Edzell). In fact, I invite you to visit my blog and check out the post entitled, "Once Upon a Springtime" I think you'll like it.
