A friend of mine recently had her car stolen and burnt out so I wanted to make her a cheery card to let her know I was thinking of her.
I had my car burnt out when I was on holiday in France with 3 schoolfriends after we finished school (a loooong time ago!) and it was a terrible experience - not least because it was the last night of our holiday and we had absolutely everything we took for our 4 weeks away (apart from our tent) in the car. Passports, money, clothes, and worse of all all our photos and journals - oh and a video of me bungey jumping!
So I hope this card cheered her up a little bit as I really felt for her:
I stamped the leaf stamp from the Pocket Silhouette stamp set in Regal Rose ink then cut out the ovals with nestabilities. Papers are from the Sweet Always paper pack and Pumpkin Pie ribbon divides the paper panels. The sentiment is from the Level 1 Hostess set Best Yet - stamped in Regal Rose ink and layered underneath a frame from Hodgepodge Hardware.
That's it from me today - have a great day and hope to see you soon!
Recipe:
(All supplies Stampin Up)
Stamps - Pocket Silhouettes/Best Yet
Ink - Regal Rose
Card/paper - Whisper White/Regal Rose/Pumpkin Pie/Sweet Always DSP
Other - Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon/Hodgepodge Hardware/Pink brads/Oval nestabilities/Cuttlebug/Dimensionals

What a horrible thing to have happen :( I'm sure that beautiful card will cheer her up
Picked up PTI goodies yesterday - customs was only £6 (so inconsistant!) but still had to pay £8 to Parcel Force (??)...your package can't be far off!! xxx
I`m sure this beutiful card will cheer her up!
My first car got stolen, and the sad thing was. we were home when it was. my friend said to me as a joak I think your car is getting stolen" We just laughed it off, only to find the next morning that it was gone :-(
Love the card Kate !
{Hugs}
Very pretty, as always! Love your cards.
What does "burnt out" mean? England has a different way of wording things.
Wow this card is stunning, will definately have to use my Patterned Papers in that way. Such gorgeous colours too, will also have to use my hardware more, I just find it difficult fitting the sentiment inside the actual frame bit...
This is beautiful Kate, love the pretty colours. the frame looks great. Have a lovely day.
Thanks Kate, I thought it might mean that - but wasn't sure. I'm learning lots of new words here. :)
That's a horrible thing to have happen.
What a scary thing to go through! Then finding it, only to discover everything is destroyed. Awful!
That is such a beautiful card. I swear, your stuff could be framed! Mine always have some sort of flaw. I would buy those at a craft show:)
Was it your birthday? Happy B-lated Birthday.
Kate, this is such a lovely card, I am sure it will bring a smile to your friend's face.

Thanks Kate, for you lovely compliment! Love your little girlie card! pretty as always! Cheers
Rotten thing to happen. Lovely card. I like the way the silhouette appears to be hanging on the brad.
What a pretty, fresh-looking card, I hope it will help cheer your friend up!
I'd like to add to your awards in your previous post, there's one waiting for you on my blog :)
Sunning card and I am sure it would cheer anyone up :-)
