With sympathy

This was made for a friend of my mum's whose mother recently passed away; I wanted to stay away from the traditional purple sympathy colours so reached for the (retired) Le Jardin papers and used So Saffron/Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip for the colour scheme.

I used the Stampin Up markers to colour the flowers and also to ink up the sentiment in 2 separate colours.

Recipe:
(All Stampin Up)

Stamps: Close as a Memory
Ink - Markers - So Saffron/Always Artichoke/Chocolate Chip
Card/Papers - Chocolate Chip/Always Artichoke/Very Vanilla/So Saffron/ Le Jardin DSP
Other - nestabilities/cuttlebug/crafter's tool kit/button/embriodery floss/Always Artichoke ribbon

I also wanted to share a photo of one of my cats, Ella, today - it's hard to get a good picture of her because of her colour but in last week's snow she really stood out! She's quite a character (which is another way of saying she's very mischievous!) and likes nothing better than to sit on my shoulder while I'm crafting!

Thanks for visiting today - and a big thanks for helping me to reach my first 5000 hits! When (or if!) it ticks over 5000 I'll get some blog candy sorted!

Have a great week y'all!

K xx

Beautiful card Kate. Sympathy cards I feel are so difficult to do, but this is beautiful. Love the colours, they have a peaceful feel to them.
Love you cat. Know what you mean about trying to get decent photo's of her. We have a Black Labrador and it is a real job getting a photograph of him.

Very nice card, my daughter wants to know if your cats name is Star - she says "oh what a cute kitty, she has a star on her chest". Kids - gotta love em!

Hi Kate, nice Sympathy card, I find them SO hard to make! Ella looks like a cutie, isn't if funny how cats love to be so close to you when you're busy or sick :)

Love your blog Kate. I found you through a friend (KimB) and I am so glad that I did because your work is amazing!

This shot of your cat is so beautiful too...looks like she thinks she is a fierce mountain lion, not 'just' a house cat (no offence to house cats...we have one ourselves ;-).

Best wishes,
Sam.
