I've recently discovered the Hero Arts blog and their weekly challenges, I'm a huge Hero fan and recently treated myself to a few more of their fab stamps :)
Last week's challenge was to take inspiration from a given selection of cards in the Hero gallery, I chose this one and here's my version:
Recipe:
Stamps - CL289 Dolls (Hero Arts)/ Thinking of You Messages (Hero Arts)
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Other - Copic markers
Oh, so simple! I love these Russian dolls, they remind me of the many dolls I saw when I visited Russia several years ago. I'd really love to go back, such a fascinating country.
The latestt challenge was to use dots on a card which I tried to do without it looking too 'busy' - dots on the stamp, dotty paper, dots in the punched border and the button elements.
Recipe:
Stamps - I Care Frame Messages (Hero Arts)
Card - Kraft (PTI)/So Saffron (SU)/Bitty Dots papers (PTI)
Other - Copic Markers/buttons/Fiskars border punch/pink thread
Thanks for visiting, I wonder if it will ever stop raining!

Ooh those dolls are adorable - My Dad is a big Russia Fan too and acutaully brought me back a little set of dolls like those a few years back.
Extra lovely cards today x
HI Kate,
as ever great job on the cards, that Russian doll stamp is very cute, and you were tastefully restrained on the dots and that wouldn't be easy !! I might have been tempted to go right to the other end of the spectrum. But I think you got it right.

I love them both, fabulous cards.

I'm a HUGE Hero Arts fan too - though you probably already guessed that! Love your take on the card - that Russian Doll is adorable! I think I may need this Russian Doll to keep my Japanese Dolls company - what d'ya reckon?
Never been to Russia (or Japan!) but would love to go - so much culture and history!
The last card has just the right amount of 'dottyness'! Not too much, not too little! I'm not dizzy after looking at it - just jealous LOL!
Hugs,
Aimes
