Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a good weekend - there were some fabulous sporting events on over the weekend so I was a happy girlie! Congrats to the English ladies but commiserations to Mr Button and the Lions (better luck next week I hope!)
And on that subject I obviously confused a few people with my cryptic reference to today, but my lovely friend Aimes guessed it - she's obviously on my wavelength because of course..... the first Monday of the last week in June.... it has to be:

Wimbledon fortnight woo-hoo!!! I'm a huge tennis fan and watch all the big tournaments year-round but there's something special about Wimbledon isn't there - as well as the best tennis it evokes summer days, strawberries and is just a great British tradition where the whole nation becomes tennis-mad!
When I was a news reporter on a local paper in London I was lucky enough to get a Press Pass to Wimbledon fortnight - I was able to walk in at any time and watch any match I wanted. I had a great editor who shared my passion for sport who allowed me to get into the office at 7am, finish at 3pm so I could head on down to SW19 for the evening, great days!
So to all you tennis and Wimbledon fans - enjoy the next two weeks, any Murray fans out there?!
Anyway, onto some crafting! I mentioned the lovely Aimes just now - it was her birthday yesterday - Happy Birthday honey!!
This is what I made for her:
I know Aimes loves the Taylored Expressions cuppie stamps so I had to use them on her birthday project. Papers are all October Afternoon, images are coloured with Copic sketch markers, and all edges are sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
And for a birthday gift I altered a matchbox with the same papers inside and out and filled it with Papertrey buttons (I knew she'd love these!)
I feel so lucky to have made such lovely friends through stamping and blogging, and Aimes is definitely one of those who I treasure - I hope you had a great day Aimes and let's hope our parcel arrives soon!!
Have a great week people!
Kate x

Hi Kate, I'm sure your friend will be absolutely delighted with your brill card and gift. Your layout and colouring is super! I have been so involved with my new blog that I'm afraid I let 26 slip, also I found the forum very bitty and confusing and some of the members uncommunicative. BUT, this time with all the work Priscilla has done I'm sure it will work. Please keep in touch, ikki
