Inspiration

To find an inspiration piece for today's Inspiration and Themes challenge at In Love With Stamping I headed once again for the Designer's Guild... and as usual spent way too long drooling over the stunning interiors!

After much browsing and even more drooling I picked this photo:

...two stunning notebooks, in different colourways. Guess which one I chose as inspiration for my card?!

Recipe: (All supplies Stampin Up unless stated)

Stamps - Baroque Motifs/Sincere Salutations/A Beautiful Thing/Frames With a Flourish
Card - Sage Shadow/Basic Black/Very Vanilla
Ink - Basic Black
Other - sewing machine/scallop edge punch/adhesive pearls/Very Vanilla ribbon

Speaking of the Designer's Guild I thought I'd share this book with you:

It's by Tricia Guild, the founder of the Designer's Guild, and is an eclectic, stunningly photographed and very personal collection of her passions and the things that influence her. Travel, colours, artists, themes and many more; it's a fascinating insight into what inspires a designer and is just one of those books that is an absolute indulgence every time you pick it up.

Some day I'd love to compile a scrapbook using this book as an inspiration - to produce a personal photographic and written record of the things in life that I'm passionate about, that intrigue and inspire me... something else to add to the list of things to do, and in the meantime I'll keep this as my bedtime reading!

Thanks for visiting today!
