I'm back!

Hello and Happy Monday!!!

Well it's been a few weeks since I blogged - I'm not sure why, I just felt like I needed a break. I sat down a few times to post, and even had cards to show but it just didn't happen. Instead of putting pressure on myself to post I just decided to take a bit of time out and now I feel fresher and ready to start again. A blog-holiday isn't a bad thing!

I've been loving the World Cup (the less said about England's performance the better!) and Wimbledon, and am already suffering post-Wimbledon withdrawal symptoms.... did you watch the final yesterday? This man is the most amazingly talanted and natural sportsman, and a real gentleman to boot, I'm just in awe of him - congrats Rafa!

So I have a few cards to share with you, made a few weeks ago - the first is the birthday card I made for my dear blogging buddy Aimes. I tried to include all the things that she loves - green, buttons, kraft, glossy accents and a stamping theme:

Here's a close up of the glossy accents on the jars:

Recipe:

Stamps: Studio Style
Card:Kraft/Vintage Cream
Ink: Memento black
Papers: Pretty Pastels
Ribbon: Ripe Avocado Saddle Stitch
Other: Glossy Accents/Copic Sketch Markers/Ripe Avocado buttons

And this is the card I made for our current 'summertime' challenge over on A Passion for Papertrey - there's still time to join in :)

Recipe:
Stamps: Aloha/Background Basics - Retro (PTI)
Card: Stamper's Select White/Raspberry Fizz/Hawaiin Shores (PTI)
Ink: Memento Black/Simply Chartreuse (PTI)
Other: Rick-Rack die(PTI)/Copic Markers/Corner Chomper

I'll be back on Wednesday with some more cards, til then enjoy the sunshine!
