Modern Twist

This week's challenge at Stamp With Us is a fun colour challenge and the Design Team have come up with some samples to help inspire you!

This is the picture we took inspiration from :




As soon as I saw the picture I wanted to use colour blocking - it's so popular in fashion right now and I thought it would be fun to use it on a card.



I used panels of Read Red, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery cardstock for the background and used the same colours in an opposite direction to ink up the flower, something a bit different but I quite like the modern look!

Inspiration Challenge

Time for another Inspiration and Themes Challenge over at In Love With Stamping.

Here's the inspiration piece I chose - from The Designer's Guild, it's such a great place to find inspiration!


And here's the card I came up with based on the image - I love the black, white and pink combination,


I stamped the small flower stamp from Live Your Dream with black in to replicate the wallpaper. The main flower image was inked up with markers, then cut out.

Zingy flowers

How about something zingy on a very dull and damp day? I love this stamp set...how many flowers have you seen with bright pink stems though! Don't you love artistic licence!

I used Only Orange and Pink Passion markers to colour the stamp (Live Your Dream) and stamped the background with the Polka Dot backgrounder with Pink Passion. As we don't have Pink Passion ribbon I coloured some Whisper White grosgrain ribbon with the Pink Passion marker et voila.... perfect match!! I added some stickles to the flower centres and used the paper piercer to pierce around the edges.
