Starry dreams

Wow, where has this weekend gone?! I had a full to-do list to complete by the end of the weekend and looks like it may spill over into the week.. don't you hate that?!!

Mini Convention

Hi everyone and happy Sunday! I hope everyone's having a good weekend - mine started fabulously with a fantastic day at my downline Jenny's house on Friday. We had our own mini convention!! Five of Jen's other downlines - Val, Jane, Di, Maria and Jo, our lovely friend Jo, and myself had a fun-filled time chatting, crafting and catching up. Hi ladies!

Here's the fab card that we made (with a lot of help from Jen!), it's a double-slider card, I've never made one before, it's a fun make!

Isn't it fun?! And how cute is that birdie - watch out for him in the new catalogue!

We also swapped cards but I haven't got around to photographing the ladies' cards (will aim to do that tomorrow!) but here's a pic of my pile of swaps. We all made enough to send on to the other ladies' in Jen's team who unfortunately couldn't make it.


Another new stamp from the catalogue called Whimsical Wings - this one is a hostess set - I kept it simple with black, white and a bit of bling ;)

For the kids..

Today's Stamp With Us challenge is to make a children's birthday card - I paper pieced the balloons from Crazy for Cupcakes with papers from the Junior Varsity set and used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line up the sentiment.

The men's Wimbledon final has just started so that's me out of here! Sadly with no Mr Murray but I'm a big Federer fan so fingers crossed for him (not that he'll need it!).

Good times

I had a really fun afternoon yesterday - Stampin Up held one of its training days in Taunton so I got to spend a few hours with some wonderful ladies, laughing a lot and making some fab projects!

A big hello to all the lovely ladies I met and big thank you to Paula and Kelly for a great afternoon. This is a picture of my upline Jenny (front row, far left) and her team members that went to the training (I'm next to Jenny). It was fantastic to meet them all for the first time!!

Colour challenge

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone's having a good weekend - I'm finally putting the finishing touches to re-decorating my bedroom, while I love the process I'm now at the point where I just want Mary Poppins to come in, click her fingers and it be all done!

Anyway, onto to today's Stamp With Us challenge - today it's a colour challenge based on this photo:



It was my blogging buddy and fellow SWU DT member Sara's birthday this week so I made my DT sample for her, Happy Birthday Sara!


Colours are Real Red, Pixie Pink and Bashful Blue - a bit out of my comfort zone! I coloured the Crazy for Cupcakes with Copics and added stickles to the cherries. As there is no Pixie Pink ribbon I cheated by colouring some Whisper White grosrain ribbon with a Pixie Pink marker...viola, matchy matchy!

And for anyone who loves to bake, who has a sweet tooth or who is a fan of the famous Hummingbird Bakery this beautifully photographed book is an absolute must!


I was so excited about this book being published and true to form is fabulous - the cupcakes, the pies, the cookies.....mmmmm! So many fabulous recipes, I just don't know which one to try first...

Here's my take on the challenge:


Pretty straight forward really, image coloured with Copics and I used two ribbons - the Rose Red double stitched grosgrain ribbon is so wide!

It's Sunday which means time for a new challenge over at Stamp With Us!

This week it's a theme challenge, and 'Thanks' is the theme. The design team have come up with some cards for the challenge, here's mine:


Another Z-fold card, using the Close as a Memory set. I stamped the En Francais backgrounder in Sage Shadow ink on Sage Shadow cardstock, then sponged the edges.

All the edges of the Very Vanilla and Kraft card were also sponged with Antique Linen distress ink. To achieve a slightly shabby look you can't go wrong with a some distress ink, buttons and lace!

Here's the fold:



I used markers to colour the image, and added adhesive pearls to the flower centres.
